The ‘Ashakiranam’ Pothy unit, which works under the leadership of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) to provide comprehensive support to cancer patients and their families, organized a Pink Ribbon Day observance and Cancer Awareness Seminar. This event was held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in collaboration with DDRC Agilus Path labs Ltd. The program highlighted the importance of the Ashakiran project, which aims for prevention, awareness, treatment, palliative care, and financial assistance.

​Vijayapuram: The ‘Koode-2025’ Children’s Day Week celebrations, organized jointly by the Department of Women and Child Development and the District Child Protection Unit, concluded with notable events at the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS). The concluding ceremony and the awareness class for child protectors, held on November 20, highlighted the significance of child protection.

Cancer Awareness Seminar Organised by Vijayapuram Social Service Society’s (VSSS) ‘ASHAKRANAM’ Project at Elakkad St. Mary’s Church Draws Attention
​Elakkad: The ‘Ashakiranam’ cancer care project of the Vijayapuram Diocese Social Service Society (VSSS), in collaboration with DDRC Agilus, successfully organized a cancer awareness seminar at Elakkad St. Mary’s Church. The seminar, held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, witnessed the participation of around 110 members, highlighting the community’s interest in health issues.

A free eye check-up camp was jointly organized by the Vijayanpuram Social Service Society (VSSS) and the District Blindness Control Society on Saturday, November 15, at the Mount Carmel Church, Thiruvanchur.
