Pullarikkunnu: The Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS), in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology at the Government Medical College, Kottayam, organized a free eye screening camp on Saturday, May 23rd, at Pullarikkunnu.
The camp was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Felix Devasia Puratheparambil, Executive Director of VSSS, with Rev. Fr. Abraham Kaliyath, the Vicar, presiding over the function.
Jinu James Veliyil, Parish Finance Secretary, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Jaseela, representing the Kottayam Medical College, provided an overview of the camp’s objectives and health services. K.V. Francis Kattuparambil proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all those who contributed to the success of the initiative.
The event was coordinated by Rev. Sr. Valsamma RFTS (VSSS CDO), along with representatives from the PDC. The camp witnessed an enthusiastic response from the local community, with nearly 100 people participating in the screening process.
