Kottayam: Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) organized the Onam celebrations titled ‘Polima 2026’ with a wide range of programs. The inaugural ceremony was held on Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 AM at Amalanilayam, and was officially inaugurated by VSSS Executive Director Rev. Fr. Felix Devasia Puratheparambil.
Various competitions, a colorful Athappookalam (floral carpet), and a traditional Onam feast (Onasadya) added charm to the celebrations. The presence of Maveli and Malayali Mankas added excitement to the event.
During the function, VSSS Assistant Director Rev. Fr. Anas Paul delivered the Onam message. Various priests from the diocese , animaters,and staff members from different VSSS institutions actively participated in the celebrations.
Following the events, the Director distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions. The celebrations concluded around 4:00 PM with a closing ceremony.
