Under the inspiring slogan “Balodayam for a Healthy Kerala,” a Training of Trainers (TOT) program was organized for Balavedi animators. This year’s camp placed special emphasis on raising awareness about the rising prevalence of lifestyle diseases and the urgent need for preventive measures.

To strengthen grassroots leadership and enhance organizational efficiency, the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) organized the second phase of its One-Day Leadership Training Program for PDC (Pupils Development Committee) leaders. The event was held on Saturday, April 12, at Amalanilayam, the VSSS central office.

A comprehensive eye screening camp was successfully organized at Mundakkayam St. Mary’s Church on March 14, under the joint auspices of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) and the District Blindness Control Society of the Kottayam Medical College Ophthalmology Department. The initiative aimed to provide expert eye care and consultation to the local community.

In connection with International Women’s Day, the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) organized a grand celebration on Saturday, March 7, at the Vimalagiri Cathedral Auditorium. The event saw active participation from women across various sectors.

Under the auspices of the KLM (Kerala Labour Movement) Vijayapuram Diocese, professional tool kits were distributed to 15 selected members of the Construction Workers’ Welfare Fund. The distribution ceremony was held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Amalanilayam.

As part of the KLM Project, the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) visited the Vimalahrudaya Snehasadan Special School & Rehabilitation Center in Kurumulloor, Kottayam, to support and empower differently-abled children.

Rev. Fr. Anas Paul Karottunalunnel has officially assumed charge as the Assistant Director of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS), the social service arm of the Diocese of Vijayapuram. The appointment ceremony took place at 10:00 AM on February 6 at the VSSS Central Office, Amalanilayam, in Kottayam.
