A comprehensive eye screening camp was successfully organized at Mundakkayam St. Mary’s Church on March 14, under the joint auspices of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) and the District Blindness Control Society of the Kottayam Medical College Ophthalmology Department. The initiative aimed to provide expert eye care and consultation to the local community.

In connection with International Women’s Day, the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) organized a grand celebration on Saturday, March 7, at the Vimalagiri Cathedral Auditorium. The event saw active participation from women across various sectors.

Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS), in collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology, Kottayam Medical College, and the District Blindness Control Society, organized a free eye screening camp. The camp was held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the St. Francis De Sales Church premises in Peruva.

Under the auspices of the KLM (Kerala Labour Movement) Vijayapuram Diocese, professional tool kits were distributed to 15 selected members of the Construction Workers’ Welfare Fund. The distribution ceremony was held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Amalanilayam.

As part of the KLM Project, the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) visited the Vimalahrudaya Snehasadan Special School & Rehabilitation Center in Kurumulloor, Kottayam, to support and empower differently-abled children.

Rev. Fr. Anas Paul Karottunalunnel has officially assumed charge as the Assistant Director of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS), the social service arm of the Diocese of Vijayapuram. The appointment ceremony took place at 10:00 AM on February 6 at the VSSS Central Office, Amalanilayam, in Kottayam.

As part of the World Cancer Day observance, the cancer awareness programs for the Thiruvalla region were held at the Preshitharani Palliative and Cancer Care Centre, Poovam. The program, held on the morning of February 5th, also included the distribution of aid to patients.

A joint meeting of various ‘Samyojitha’ units in the Kottayam Zone was held on Saturday, January 31, organized by the Kumarakam Samyojitha. The meeting, presided over by Vice President Jinumon K.M., served as a platform for reviewing ongoing activities and planning future initiatives.
