Under the joint auspices of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) and the Medical College Ophthalmology Department , a free eye screening camp was successfully conducted at St. Joseph’s Parish, Thiruvalla. The camp was held on Saturday, April 25th, at the Parish Hall.
Inauguration and Keynote
The event was presided over by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Theophin Thuruthikkonam. The camp was officially inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Thomas Thoppil OCD, who emphasized the importance of community health initiatives.
Rev. Fr. Felix Devasia Purathepaparambil, Executive Director of VSSS, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the various social welfare activities undertaken by the society and its commitment to public health.
Medical Expertise
Dr. Mridula from the Medical College led the medical session, explaining the procedures of the camp and providing essential information on eye care and disease prevention to the attendees.
