Thiruvanchur: A free eye check-up camp was jointly organized by the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS) and the District Blindness Control Society on Saturday, November 15, at the Mount Carmel Church, Thiruvanchur.
The camp, which saw the participation of around seventy people, was inaugurated by Fr. Augustine Binoy Mecheril, the Executive Director of VSSS.
Parish Priest Fr. Johny Kanjiramparambil presided over the function, and wishes were offered by Mr. Joseph Peedikaparambil and Sister Valsamma. Following this, Dr. Ashwathy provided an explanation regarding the camp’s activities and the importance of eye examination.
The camp received an excellent response. Sister Jomol delivered the welcome address, while Mr. Saji Kavalichal offered a vote of thanks to the participants and collaborators. The Parish Development Council (PDC) and Animator Smt. Rincy P. Joseph led the successful execution of the camp.
This camp played a significant role in fostering health awareness and ensuring eye care in the community.
