Formation of KLM Unit and Welfare Fund Awareness Class at Amayannoor Sacred Heart Parish.
Kottayam: The Kerala Labour Movement (KLM) Unit formation and an awareness class on various government welfare funds were held on Sunday, November 30, at the Sacred Heart Parish, Amayannoor. The event was organized with the aim of providing awareness to parishioners about their rights in the employment sector and welfare schemes.
The program was presided over by the Parish Vicar, Rev. Fr. Ronald Mathew. Rev.Fr. Felix Devasya, Assistant Director of the Vijayapuram Social Service Society (VSSS), delivered the inaugural message.
Shri. K J Joseph, KLM Diocesan President, led the class. He provided detailed awareness on the various welfare funds for unorganized workers, including unemployment wages, old-age pension, and health insurance, as well as their application procedures.
Following the class, new office bearers were elected for the efficient functioning of the KLM Unit in the parish. A new committee comprising the Unit President, Secretary, and Treasurer assumed charge.
The event proved beneficial in providing parishioners with excellent knowledge about government welfare schemes and helping to protect the rights of workers through organized activities.
