Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
People with disabilities are Community-based rehabilitation (CBR) is community action to ensure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as all other community members. This includes, for example, equal access to health care, education, skills training, employment, family life, social mobility and political empowerment.
The major objectives of CBR undertaken by Vijayapuram Social Service Society are: To ensure that people with disabilities are able to maximise their physical and mental abilities, to access regular services and opportunities, and to become active contributors to the community and society at large. Besides regular EDP Training and handholding service every year we support 30 persons each year. 85% of the members have become self-reliant protecting themselves and their family members.
